The Bugeye Sprite
Is there a more joyful car in existence? With its cheeky headlamp "eyes" and irrepressible grin, the Bugeye Sprite (or Frogeye, if you're British) has been making people smile since 1958.
Designed by Gerry Coker, the Sprite was meant to be an affordable, fun sports car that anyone could enjoy. With just 43 horsepower and a kerb weight of around 1,500 lbs, it proved that you don't need power to have fun — you need lightness, responsiveness, and a willingness to get rained on occasionally.
"It's not about the destination. It's about the grin on the way there."
